Well now it gets real fun!

Below is our bill for from March 18th to April 16th.   The new digital meter is $3.50  per month and the minimum energy use bill is 17cents a day or approx. $5.00 a month plus the meter fee, so our minimum bill possible each month is $8.50.  We have switched our plan to a Time of Use Plan that takes advantage of lower rates at night for the electric car.   Don't forget we power an electric car 300 miles a month with this bill also!

In this time period we used $7.00 worth of energy.   That is a mind blowing savings of 94.5% over the prior year. I have also posted a bill history so you can see the dramatic reduction in energy cost.   It begins with some savings pre solar with cfl lights and such, then a partial month of solar generation in December and then the bill almost evaporates. 

This next billing cycle beginning April 17th, we will go under the zero line for the first time ever!  Like in my whole life!  We will be under zero April, May, June, July, August, September and then mid October we come back above the zero line.

Pretty cool, I wish I could get rid of the .17 cents per day minimum charge and the meter fee, but I suppose that would be unfair.
